With not enough money in the bank account when the check is deposited by the vendor, the account is over-drafted.

Back to Where We Were //In the Presence of Our Ancestors is a narrative short film directed by Sharayna Christmas that invites us to reflect on the continuity of our past, present, and future. The film weaves ancestral presence, the healing power of water, and the regenerative force of land into a tapestry of guidance and transcendence. Set against the evocative backdrop of St. Helena Island, a sacred Gullah site, the work channels movement inspired by the ancestors of Igbo Landing, accompanied by the resonant music of Georgia Anne Muldrow.
