The true story of Chinese citizen Lin Zhao, who turned away from her Christian education to become an ardent Communist supporter during, and immediately after, the Chinese Civil War. Lin Zhao answers Mao Tse-tung’s call for suggestions to improve the party, but is imprisoned and tortured for eight years, after a swift reversal of Communist policy.
This screening is followed by a pre-recorded Q&A with Writer/Director Yueh Phoebe Liu and Writer/Producer Emily Stouffer. Moderated by Reel Sisters Curator, Kim Singleton.
